Planning and delivering a large-scale event can be challenging but doesn’t have to be stressful. A well-structured process and plan can ensure the success of your event and help with keeping everything on track.

Do it S.M.A.R.T!

Be clear and concise when setting the aims and objectives that you want to achieve at the end of your event or conference.

You don’t have to do everything alone. Let us help you! Organise an on-site visit for you and your team to discuss any concerns with the Event Essex team.

Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall

Event Essex offers a large-scale venue, the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall, which has seating options for over 1,000 guests. Our Ivor Crewe venue includes an upper foyer, ideal for registration and catering, a seminar room, great for smaller meetings, and two lecture theatres. The theatres can be combined creating a larger venue with a main conference room beside exhibition/refreshment space. The many advantages of our venue with retractable seating include flexible layouts, suitable for all different kinds of events and conferences.

Our large-scale venues are situated in a beautiful parkland, within the University of EssexColchester Campus. At only one hour from Stansted Airport and London and with on-site parking, the venues are very accessible.

If you are interested in booking one of our venues, get in touch and discuss other important aspects such as accommodation and catering. During the summer, we can provide single en-suite bedrooms within self-contained flats as well as accommodation in our Towers. Moreover, the Event Essex team offers a selection of catering packages comprising of working breakfasts and lunches, cold and hot buffets and drinks receptions with canapés.

Our final advice: Do a run-through. A couple of weeks before the event, book an appointment with members of our team and verify all the aspects of your big event. Avoiding the technical issues that may arise will help you keep the stress of the event to a minimum.

Trust us, our team will make sure everything runs smoothly before and during your large-scale event.
